About
Rachel Avery decided to focus on photographing pets because of her lifelong love of animals. She loves both cats & dogs, but due to family allergies, grew up with a special kitty in her life. Rachel got Misty Max (pictured right) when she was 10 years old and he lived an extraordinary 18 years. Rachel cared for him for the last 5 years of his life. That special bond is what keeps Rachel out taking pictures of other pets. She wants to give you memories of your special friends that will last a lifetime.
Rachel is fully certified in Pet CPR from the American Red Cross and also as a volunteer Pet Paparazzi member of the MSPCA-Angell Animal Shelter
In addition, Rachel has an arts education from Hofstra University and Massachusetts College of Art & Design. The combination of this classwork plus a professional background in TV/Theater Lighting Design combine to make Rachel capture images from a different point of view.
Rachel is a member of professional organizations PPA, NAPP & ASMP..
